聖ウィルフリド教会は、カトリック教会の教区教会です。聖ウィルフリド（669年にヨーク大司教になった）に献堂された教会は、中世以来ヨークに立っており、カトリック教徒によって「ヨークの町の母教会」と呼ばれています。聖ウィルフリド教会の元々の場所は、現在の場所から南に数十メートルにありました。現在の教会は、1862～1864年にゴシック・リヴァイヴァル様式で建てられました。聖ウィルフリド教会は、彫刻、絵画、ステンドグラスが豊かで、イングランドで最も完成されたカトリックの教会の一つと考えられました。
St Wilfrid’s Church is a a parish church of the Catholic Church. A church dedicated to St. Wilfrid (he ascended to the See of York in 669) has stood in York since medieval times and is called the Mother Church of the city of York by Catholics. The original site of the church was dozens of meters south from the present site. The present church was built in the Gothic Revival style from 1862 to 1864. The church was considered to be one of the most perfectly finished Catholic Churches in England (rich in sculptures, paintings and stained glass).
