Mar’s Wark (Mar’s Lodging) is a complex of ruins in Stirling, Scotland, the United Kingdom.
マー伯爵の館は、1570～1572年にマー伯ジョン・アースキンによって建てられました。マー伯爵の館は、1572年に伯爵が死去した際にはおそらく未完成であり未完成のままであったと、しばしば言われます。スターリング市の記録からは、伯爵夫人が館を使用し続けたようです。ブロードストリートとスターリングの街を見下ろすので、マー伯爵の館は、後に市民暴動の間に大砲を備え付けるために用いられました。
Mar’s Wark (Mar’s Lodging) was built from 1570 to 1572 by John Erskine, Earl of Mar. It is often said that the lodging was probably unfinished at the death of the earl in 1572 and was never finished. It seems from the records of Stirling burgh that the countess continued to use the lodging. The lodging was later used to mount artillery during civil unrest as the lodging commands Broad Street and the town.
