ハイストリート・ゲート（北門としても知られている）は、1327～1342年にゴシック様式で建てられました。ハイストリート・ゲートは、「境内の特権」と呼ばれるソールズベリー大聖堂境内へ入るための主要地点です。ハイストリート・ゲートには、境内で罪を犯し有罪とされた者の牢獄がありました。
High Street Gate (also known as Northgate) was built in the Gothic style from 1327 to 1342. The gate is the main point of entry into the Salisbury Cathedral Close called the Liberty of the Close. The gate housed a small jail for those convicted of misdeeds within the district.
