The Queen’s Gallery is an art gallery in London, the United Kingdom.
クイーンズ・ギャラリーは、バッキンガム宮殿内にあり、入口は、宮殿の西正面にあります。クイーンズ・ギャラリーは、第二次世界大戦の最中に爆撃された礼拝堂の場所に建てられ、1962年に開館しました。クイーンズ・ギャラリーは、1999年に拡張工事のため閉館するまで37年間で500万人の来館者を迎え、その後、2002年にエリザベス2世の五十年祝典と同時に再び開館しました。拡張工事により、現在のドーリア式の柱廊式玄関や新しい部屋が、加えられました。
The Queen’s Gallery is located within Buckingham Palace and the entrance is located at the west front of the palace. The gallery was built on the site of a chapel bombed during the Second World War and opened in 1962. The gallery received 5 million visitors for 37 years until the gallery was closed for extension work in 1999. Subsequently the gallery was reopened to coincide with the Golden Jubilee of Elizabeth II in 2002. The extension added the current Doric entrance portico and several new rooms.
