Carnaby Street is a pedestrianised shopping street in the entertainment area called Soho. The street is close to Oxford Street and Regent Street. The street became popular with followers of the mod and hippie styles around the 1960s. Today the street is home to fashion and lifestyle retailers including a large number of independent fashion boutiques.
