The Provand’s Lordship of Glasgow was originally built in 1471 as part of St. Nicholas’s Hospital by a Bishop of Glasgow. The building and Glasgow Cathedral are some of the very few surviving buildings from the medieval period in Glasgow. The building is the oldest remaining house while the cathedral is the oldest building in Glasgow.
