チェスター城は、チェスター市壁に区切られる領域の南西の先端に位置しており、ディー川を見下ろす高台に立っています。チェスター城は、元々はノルマン様式で1070年に建てられました。チェスター城は、18～19世紀に改築され、新古典主義様式の建物が、1788～1822年に加えられました。
Chester Castle is located at the southwest extremity of the area bounded by Chester city walls and stands on an eminence overlooking the River Dee. The castle was originally built in the Norman style in 1070. The castle was renovated from the 18th century to the 19th century and the Neoclassical buildings were added from 1788 to 1822.
