St. Augustine’s Abbey is a complex of ruins in Canterbury, England, the United Kingdom and is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Canterbury Cathedral, St. Augustine’s Abbey and St. Martin’s Church.
聖アウグスティヌス修道院は、聖アウグスティヌスによって598年に創設されたベネディクト修道院でした。その後、聖アウグスティヌス修道院は、イギリス宗教改革の最中の1538年に解散させられました。アウグスティヌス修道院は1844年まで廃墟になっていましたが、遺跡は歴史的価値のため現在まで保存されています。
St. Augustine’s Abbey was a Benedictine monastery founded in 598 by St. Augustine. Afterwards the abbey was dissolved in 1538 during the English Reformation. The abbey underwent dismantlement until 1848 and then the ruins have been preserved for their historical value.
