大聖母マリア教会は、イングランド国教会の教区教会であり、ケンブリッジ大学の教会でもあります。この場所の最初の教会は、1205年に建てられました。最初の教会は、1290年に火事で破壊され、その後に建て直されました。この教会は、聖母マリア教会として知られていましたが、1352年から現在の名前で知られるようになりました。現在の建物は1478～1519年にゴシック様式で建てられ、塔は1608年に完成しました。
St. Mary the Great is a parish church of the Church of England and is also the university church for the University of Cambridge. The first church on the site of the current one was built in 1205. The church was destroyed by fire in 1290 and then rebuilt. The church was known as The Church of St. Mary the Virgin and has become known by its modern name since 1352. The present building was constructed in the Gothic style from 1478 to 1519 and the tower was completed in 1608.
