St. Botolph's Church

St. Botolph’s Church is a parish church of the Church of England. The church is dedicated to Botolph (an English abbot in the 7th century and a patron saint of travellers). The church was by the south gate of the medieval town. Travellers from the south and the west entered the town through the gate. The present Gothic building mostly dates from the 14th century.
