The Church of St. Mary and St. Nicholas is a church of the Church in Wales. This Gothic church was founded around 1330 to serve the new town. The church houses the stone sarcophagus considered to be of Joan, wife of Llewelyn ap Iowerth (Llewelyn the Great) and illegitimate daughter of King John of England.
