Drottninggatan (Queen’s Street) is a street in Stockholm, Sweden.

Drottninggatan (Queen’s Street) is a major bustling pedestrian street. The street was laid out in the 1630s and 1640s when the surrounding area was built on a rectilinear grid plan that was a significant innovation in the urban environment of Stockholm. The street was originally named Great King’s Street and was later renamed in honour of Queen Christina (who ruled from 1632 to 1654). The street was the site of 2 terrorist attacks in 2010 and 2017. In the 2010 Stockholm bombings the terrorist (an Iraqi-born Swedish citizen) was killed by one of his own bombs and 2 other people were injured. In the 2017 Stockholm truck attack 5 people died and 15 more were injured by the terrorist (an Uzbek citizen having sworn allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant).
