The Basilica of St. Paul (Il-Bażilika ta’ San Pawl) is a basilica in Rabat, Malta.
聖パウロ聖堂は、カトリック教会の教区教会です。現在のバロック様式の教会は、1578年に建てられた古い教会を建て替えて1683年に完成しました。別館は、聖プブリウスに献堂されている教会で、1692年、1726年に再び、建て直されました。言い伝えによると、聖パウロが、西暦60年にマルタに3ヶ月滞在した間、この場所にある岩屋で、生活し、伝道をしました。
The Basilica of St. Paul (Il-Bażilika ta’ San Pawl) is a parish church of the Catholic Church. The official name is the Basilica and Collegiate Proto-Parish Church of St. Paul (Il-Bażilika Kolleġġjata u Proto-Parrokkjali ta’ San Pawl). The present Baroque church was completed in 1683 to replace an old church built 1578. Annexed with the church is a smaller church dedicated to St. Publius. The smaller church was rebuilt in 1692 and again in 1726. According to tradition, St. Paul lived and preached in a grotto in this site during his 3 month stay in Malta in 60 A.D.
