The New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) is a town hall in Munich, Germany.
ミュンヘン新市庁舎が、マリエン広場の北に立っています。このゴシック・リヴァイヴァル様式の建物は、3段階で建てられました。第1段階は、東側の部分であり、1867～1874年に建てられました。第2段階は、1889～1892年に建設されました。最後に、塔を含む第3段階は、1898～1905年に建設されました。新市庁舎は、第二次世界大戦中の1944年に空襲で損傷し、戦後に再建されました。
The New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) stands on the north of Marienplatz. This Gothic Revival building was built in 3 stages. The 1st section is the eastern part and was built from 1867 to 1874. The 2nd section was constructed from 1889 to 1892. Finally the 3rd section with the tower was constructed from 1898 to 1905. The town hall was slightly destroyed by air raids in 1944 during the Second World War and was rebuilt after the war.
ミュンヘン新市庁舎の塔は、85メートルの高さで、ミュンヘン小僧を戴いています。塔には、1908年にさかのぼる時計仕掛けがあります。機械仕掛けの時計の43個の鐘が連続して4つの異なるメロディーを奏でます。32体の人形が、ミュンヘンの踊りや、1568年のバイエルン大公ヴィルヘルム5世とレナータ・フォン・ロートリンゲンの結婚式の際の騎士の馬上試合を表します。横の張り出し窓には、警笛を吹く夜警やミュンヘン小僧を祝福する天使が現れます。
The tower is 85 metres high and is crowned by the Münchner Kindl (Munich Child). The tower has a clockwork (the Glockenspiel) dating from 1908. The 43 bells of the mechanical clock play successively 4 different melodies. 32 figures represent the Schäfflertanz (a dance originating in Munich) and a knights tournament at the wedding of William V (Duke of Bavaria) and Renata of Lorraine in 1568. In the side bay windows a night watchman appears blowing on his horn as well as an angel blessing the Münchner Kindl.
