(薄切りの子牛のカツレツ)ヴィーナー・シュニッツェル Wiener Schnitzel

Wiener Schnitzel is an Austrian food.

Wiener Schnitzel

Wiener Schnitzel is one of the national dishes of Austria. The dish is deep-fried breaded veal cutlets and is traditionally garnished with a slice of lemon and either potato salad or potatoes with parsley and butter. The dish is relatively light and I think Japanese may like it naturally. It is said field marshal Joseph Radetzky von Radetz brought the recipe from Italy to Vienna in 1857 (and yet in 2007 a linguist pointed out that this story had been invented).

Czech Schnitzel

Schnitzel originated in Austria and now is popular in many countries. Schnitzel is made using either veal, beef, mutton, pork, chicken or turkey. This picture shows Czech Schnitzel.
