Hōki-ji Temple is a temple in Ikaruga, Nara, Japan and a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Buddhist Monuments in the Hōryū-ji Area.
法起寺（ほうきじ、ほっきじ）は、聖徳宗の寺院です。岡本寺、池後寺（いけじりでら）とも知られていました。本尊は十一面観音菩薩です。

法起寺は、法隆寺の北東にある小さな寺院です。法起寺は、聖徳太子が法華経を講じた岡本宮の跡地にあり、子息の山背大兄王（やましろのおおえのおう）が岡本宮を寺に改めたと言われています。金堂が638年に建てられ、三重塔が706年に建てられました。三重塔は、唯一現存する創建時の建物です。
Hōki-ji temple is a small temple situated to the north-east of Hōryū-ji Temple. It is said that the temple lies on the site of the palace which was called Okamoto no Miya and where Prince Shōtoku had lectured on the Lotus Sutra. It is said that his son (Prince Yamashiro or Yamashiro no Ōe no ō) converted the palace into the temple. The main hall was built in 638 and the three storied pagoda was bulit in 706. The pagoda is the only existing original building in the temple.
